Two-friends

Two-friends:

"Good Morning Class, Today we have a new student among us, her name is Samyuktha” announced the class teacher “Samyuktha come here, introduce yourself to the class”

Samyuktha a 12 year old girl, with fair complexion skin and a neatly pleated hair on either side of her head was sitting in the one corner of the class. She slowly got up from her seat. Each one of the student in class started staring at her. With all those stares, new faces, new city, new school, she was scared to death. She moved slowly to where her teacher was standing and faced the class with lowered head as if it were a punishment.

“Samyuktha introduce yourself to class. Why are you lowering your head? Stand straight up. Don’t waste the time of the class” said teacher somewhat sternly.

“My name is Samyuktha..I..I…I know no English much..i..i..” said samyuktha with a very feeble voice. The whole class started giggling and started hush-hushing comments on Samyuktha. The teacher asked Samyuktha to go back to her seat hearing the commotion in the class and asked the class to be quite. Samyuktha almost had tears in her eyes. She was lost in her own world for the rest of the class.

During Interval she sat alone at her desk, looking at her book but not looking at the words but thinking about the world she left back in her small town, Varanasi. “Hi” said a voice. Samyuktha looked up to see a girl standing there. She was slightly dark complexioned, with a smiling face, and had hair exactly like Samyuktha’s.

“I am Prachi, your classmate. Why are you not having lunch?” said prachi.

What a s/w Engineer want?

What a s/w Engineer want?

An ambitious software engineer finally decided to take a vacation. He booked himself on a Caribbean cruise and proceeded to have the time of his life.
At least for a while.

A hurricane came up unexpectedly. The ship went down and was lost instantly. The man found himself swept up on the shores of an island with no
other people, no supplies, nothing. Only bananas and coconuts.

Used to five-star hotels, this guy had no idea what to do. So, for the next four months he ate bananas, drank coconut juice, longed for his
old life, and fixed his gaze on the sea, hoping to spot a rescue ship.

One day, as he was lying on the beach, he spotted movement out of the corner of his eye. It was a rowboat, and in it was the most gorgeous
woman he had ever seen. She rowed up to him.

In disbelief, he asked her: "Where did you come from, and how did you get here?"

"I rowed from the other side of the island," she said.

"I landed here when my cruise ship sank."

"Amazing," the software engineer said, "I didn't know anyone else had survived. How many of you are there?
You were really lucky to have a rowboat wash up with you."

Paid in full with one glass of milk!!!

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his
way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.

He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.

However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.

She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large
glass of milk He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to
accept payment for a kindness."
He said... "Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger physically,
but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors
were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare
disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.

When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled
his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her
room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her.

He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation
room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave
special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the
business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.

He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent
to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for
it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught her attention on the side as she read these
words......
"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

Kindness Pays!!!

Kindness Pays!!!
There was once this guy who was very much in love with his girl.
This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl.

Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his future doesn't seem too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so they went their own ways there and then... Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself.

Finally with all the hard work and the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company ..
You never fail until you stop trying. One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realize they were his girl's parents. With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same any more; he had his own company, car, condo, etc.
He made it! What he saw next confused him, the couple was walking towards a cemetery, and so he got out of his car and followed...and he saw his girl, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone and he saw his paper cranes right beside her...

Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all. She was ill with cancer. She had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want to be his obstacle... therefore she had chosen to leave him. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again...he can take some of those back with him... Once you have loved, you will always love. For what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will remain forever.

The guy just wept.....The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside her knowing you can't have her, see her or be with her ever again.........hope you understand. Find time to realise that there is one person who means so much to you, for you might wake up one morning losing that person who you thought meant nothing to you.

KINDNESS Pays !

Love Story - Unexpected Climax

Nice and different one……
Do Read……

REALITY BITES

OK… So I was back in bench… I was a free bird once again… No more boarding of 7: 30 buses… No more onsite calls… No more work… I was released… Hurray!!!

Just then my mobile rang. It was my father.

“Hello… How are you?”

“Fine, how are you father?”

“I am fine. How is work going on? Are you busy...”

“Work?… Uh… Well… You see… Right now I don’t have work…” I gulped as I said these words.

“What?!!! You don’t have any work? Youngsters should work at least 12 hours a day. You are getting salary every month right?! You should take the initiative… Do you know what Gandhiji has said about work?... He said…”

My father was in the mining sector. There is nothing called bench in his line of work. Until the rise of IT industry, to be in bench is to be sitting in a classroom or in front of a tea shop.  And now, to the outside world, a guy in an IT company, sitting in bench, is a lazy and incompetent employee who should be laid off to recruit a better one.

I had a difficult time explaining to my father that I was just released from a project and will soon be put into another one, in the meantime doing any internal work. At last the call ended although I knew perfectly well he wasn’t convinced yet.

Dad vs Daughter!!!

PLEASE READ IT.......

READ THIS TOUCHING STORY......

'You have done a brilliant work Rajesh. You have been given....rrrrhhhhh......Raaaajjjeeeessshhhh............ Raaaajjjeeeessshhhh.'- what!! I woke up from a sudden jerk.
'Raaajeeessshhh....'...I heard my wife yelling. What's w/ her? Always yelling for something or the other. I can't be in peace even in my dreams. Shucks!! Angrily, I kicked my blanket and got down. 'Raaajesssh....'  'Coming Meera..what's w/ you. Why are you shouting like this..'.

I hurried down the stairs.  I saw Meera, my sweet(??!!) wife, sitting in the couch giving breakfast to my 7yr old daughter  Achala. Both looked happy, watching TV.
I got confused at the whole scenario. I came running down, expecting some kind of earthquake, but instead here everything was in place. I looked at my wife & daughter. She smiled at me back.  Now, I more got confused, what's happening here? Am I in a dream?

'Meera...'
'Yeah Rajesh...'
'You called me. In fact yelled.'
'Yes. You are right!'
'Everything is fine here right? Why you screamed like that then...'
'It's 'cos it's going to be 8am now.'

I couldn't understand what she was trying to say. Is she playing some kind of prank? Is this the time for all these? I have to be in office by 9am for a meeting.

'Yes. It's going to be 8am.Right! So...?'
'Rajesh, don't tell me, you forgot...today is 27th '
'27th..What 27th?
'Don't tell me you don't remember?'

An Arranged Love Story

Autobiography of a Middle Class Woman - An Arranged Love Story

On one cool rainy morning in July, 2007

Woken up by the cool breeze that invaded through the little gap between the blanket and bed, I opened my eyes. My eyes stuck on the man who’s standing near the window side, near my side of the bed, throwing out circles of smoke into the rain.

Still looking at the man, I tried to lock myself inside the blanket. Nothing can stop this man, he won’t change. He wont change unless he felt himself.

You started smoking in the morning”, I asked.

What do you want, Kutta?” he replied.

“Why I want? Don’t you know that it’s killing you?” I asked in fake anger.

Start fighting in the morning itself, give me a break“.

You know, what day is it today, Sunnichaa?”

“Do I have amnesia? It’s been 25, right..?

“Yeah, 25 years. Ohh, My holy Christ, how I lived with this old man for this long?”, I prayed in humor.
“I’ve been asking the same, myself and don’t forget, you’re nearing half century too.” He told with a smile, which is itself was an anniversary gift for me.

A Phone Pal Story - Part 9 - Last part

A Phone Pal Story - Part 9 - Last part

Last Part (By Anu)

October 5th, 2008

This is the worst day of my life. I broke the heart and trust of Nani :( .

I heard many incidents about boys who abuse girls when they reject their love and some people even gone mad and killed the girls.

I knew that Nani is not such a psycho. But what did I expect was, at least he hates me and expresses the same feeling on my face. But he burst into tears and left the place without uttering a word.

I curse myself to be rude at him and to break his heart. I know it is the biggest sin I have committed in my life. But I did not have a choice.

When we both were at Rishikonda, I could feel that somebody had been watching us. I felt very uncomfortable being there… and we left the place.

I could realize the consequence only when my uncle Manu reached our home on the next day. When he asked about my studies, I said I was doing good.

A Phone Pal Story - Part 8

A Phone Pal Story - Part 8

After our third meet at Vizag, I came back to Hyderabad and for two days I was pretty busy with my official work. During those 2 days, I had very short conversations with Anu and she sounded little disturbed with my response.

Finally we’d accomplished the successful release of our project and I got some leisure. I called up Anu and I could hear a guy’s voice over the phone. I wondered if I had dialed wrong number. I rechecked the number and tried again. To my surprise the same guy has answered the call. He told it is wrong number and when I asked about Anu, he turned to be harsh with his words.

He said it’s Anu’s number only and she gave him the mobile. I didn’t understand why did she gave her mobile to that guy and asked the same.

He told that he is her would-be and asked about my details.

I introduced myself as her friend and I requested him to make her to talk to me once. Then he started to use all abusive language which I cannot write here… :( and warned me not to call again.

I was 100% (even more) sure that Anu wouldn’t cheat me and this guy was lying. But I had no way to contact Anu to know what’s happened.

A Phone Pal Story - Part 7

A Phone Pal Story - Part 7

Part 7 -By Anu

It was 25th May, 2005

I met Nani at Durgam Cheruvu. He is such a nice guy with who cares much about me and my feelings.

He took my hand and guided me to the park on the bank of that lake. I could see many couples sitting there… and I am sure most of them were lovebirds :).

We had a tough time finding an empty bench in that park and finally Nani saw a bench which was almost invisible to outer world. He said that we would sit on that bench… but I hesitated to go there as I kept remembering Priya’s words that guys would take advantage of being invisible to others… I said “Nani, why can’t we sit here in the lawn? Do we really need to sit on a bench to talk?”. Poor guy.. without a word, he sat on the grass in the lawn and I did the same.

We kept quiet for a moment and I was waiting for him to break the ice. When I looked at him, he was staring at me. I could see a lot of love towards me in his eyes. I smiled at him and asked about his office.

He asked to keep office, studies, parents, and the world away because it’s the moment of his life where he met his first love for the first time.
